Community Mental Health Services: Who We Are

Our Mission

At We R One, our mission is to empower individuals and families by delivering compassionate, evidence-based care through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and comprehensive community mental health services. We are committed to meeting each person where they are, providing mental health support that fosters growth, resilience, and independence in every step of their journey.

Our Vision

At We R One LLC, we envision a world where every individual, regardless of their challenges, has the opportunity to thrive within a supportive community that offers mental health support and community mental health services. Our vision is rooted in the belief that lasting change begins with connection, which is also essential in the practice of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Our Story

Latrese has deep roots in this community and a lifelong passion for providing mental health support, with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. She founded this agency to enhance community mental health services, specifically in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), after observing many families in our area struggling to access the necessary help for their children. Her vision was to deliver high-quality, accessible services to her hometown, making life easier for parents, children, educators, and the community as a whole.

Latrese Bynum (Project Coordinator)

As a proud mother and loving grandmother, Latrese understands firsthand the importance of strong family support and compassionate care. Born in the small town of Littleton, North Carolina, and raised in Roanoke Rapids, she has deep roots in the local community and a lifelong passion for helping others.

With over eight years of experience in the mental health field, she currently serves as the Owner and Program Coordinator of We R One, an agency she founded out of both personal conviction and professional dedication. She established We R One to bridge critical gaps in community mental health services, particularly in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), after witnessing too many families struggle to access care for their children. Many were forced to travel long distances, facing barriers such as limited transportation, financial constraints, and time challenges, often resulting in delayed or denied mental health support.

We R One was created to change that reality. Her vision was to bring high-quality, accessible behavioral health services directly to her hometown, easing the burden on families while supporting children, educators, and the broader community.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and continuing to serve and uplift those around her. At the heart of everything she does is a steadfast belief that we rise stronger when we rise together.
